The Modern Console for Cloud Foundry Teams

CF AppStage lowers the operational costs of running Cloud Foundry and gives platform teams a governed self-service console for enterprise operations, with dedicated support and no vendor lock-in.

Your Cloud Foundry estate has grown.
Most consoles haven't kept pace.

Cloud Foundry remains one of the most mature, widely adopted application platforms in the enterprise. The gap most platform teams run into isn’t Cloud Foundry itself. It’s that the tools for operating it day to day haven’t kept pace with how much is now running on it.

Manual work standing in for governance As application and service counts grow across orgs and spaces, teams patch the gap with CLI scripts, custom dashboards, and tribal knowledge. It works, but it isn’t governed, and it doesn’t scale past the people who built it.

No safe way to self-serve Developers wait on platform teams for routine tasks like restarting an app, provisioning a service, or mapping a route, because there’s no console-level way to do it that’s both self-service and auditable.

Multi-foundation sprawl Organizations running more than one Cloud Foundry foundation by environment, business unit, or geography end up with a separate login, a separate view, and separate habits for each one.

CF AppStage — How It Works

CF AppStage is a Backstage-based console purpose-built for Cloud Foundry. It gives platform teams and application developers a modern, governed interface for managing Cloud Foundry applications, services, and platform resources without replacing the Cloud Foundry CLI or the underlying platform.

CF AppStage connects to your Cloud Foundry foundation via the Cloud Controller API v3 and authenticates with UAA (Cloud Foundry’s native identity service). A single deployment supports multiple foundations at once, each with its own configuration platform. Teams get one consistent view across environments instead of separate consoles for each foundation.

One console for everything running on Cloud Foundry

Applications, services, organizations, spaces, and routes, all visible and manageable from a single console, across every Cloud Foundry foundation you connect.

Backed by Cloud Foundry expertise

CF AppStage is developed and maintained by anynines, which has operated Cloud Foundry environments since 2013. Support and roadmap decisions come from a team that runs Cloud Foundry in production, not a side project.

No distribution lock-in CF

AppStage works against any Cloud Foundry API v3 endpoint, so it isn’t tied to a specific Cloud Foundry distribution. You can change your underlying Cloud Foundry provider without replacing your console.

Full audit trail

CF AppStage grants visibility into the existing Cloud Controller Audit Log API, ensuring full audit trail access for application-, service-, and platform-level actions without requiring you to manage logs. Access follows your current Cloud Foundry org, space, and role model, so visibility and control scale effortlessly as your environment grows.

What sets CF AppStage apart

Governed, auditable self-service.

Developers get self-service through guided workflows with dry-run previews, while platform teams keep the audit trail for restage, provisioning, route management, and space operations.

Distribution-independent by design.

CF AppStage integrates through the Cloud Foundry API v3, so your console and your Cloud Foundry provider never have to move together.

White-label theming without forking code.

Branding is applied through a separate theme configuration at deploy time, so your team never has to modify or maintain a fork of the CF AppStage codebase to make it look like yours.

One login across every foundation you connect.

A single CF AppStage deployment can connect to multiple Cloud Foundry foundations at once, so teams get one consistent view instead of separate consoles, logins, and habits for each environment.

Zero-downtime

Our Cloud Foundry architecture makes Zero-Downtime updates the standard for your self-managed apps. No manual configuration needed. Instances are automatically replaced one at a time in rolling mode, keeping your application running smoothly without any downtime

An actively developed roadmap, backed by dedicated support.

CF AppStage ships as commercially licensed software with a defined support relationship. New capabilities come from a dedicated product and engineering team, not from community maintenance on a volunteer timeline.
